Our History and Structure

After the publication of the book Holistic Reflexology (1989), awareness of The Grinberg Method spread, and Avi Grinberg received his first international invitation to teach one of his courses in Switzerland. He was then asked to teach further courses there, and this ongoing interest led to the opening of a school of The Grinberg Method in Switzerland. Interest continued to grow and soon invitations for courses were extended from other European countries.

After teaching people for more than a decade to become practitioners and work individually with clients, Mr. Grinberg widened the scope of the profession and developed the Trainers' Program. This program prepares successful practitioners to become trainers, leading classes, workshops and groups processes. Parallel, he developed the Teachers' Training to prepare those who would teach the professional studies.

In today’s structure there are several hundred independent qualified practitioners of The Grinberg Method in Europe, Israel and North America; licensed trainers offer various group activities in Austria, England, France, Germany, Israel, Italy, Spain, Switzerland and the U.S.A.; and the professional studies are offered by licensed teachers of The Grinberg Method in Austria, England, Germany, France, Italy, Spain and Switzerland.

Recently, the teachers and trainers initiated the establishment of national associations of The Grinberg Method’s practitioners, in order to ensure a high level of quality and ethics within the profession. These associations were incorporated under a permit from The Grinberg Method Foundation.
